Andrea Frey joined Oak Foundation in 2006 as a Programme Officer for the Special Interest Programme and later as a Head of Programme for the Special Interest Programme. She is currently working as a Senior Consultant for the Wildlife Conservation Programme (WCP). This is a new Programme for Oak Foundation. Andrea is helping the Programme in 2015 and 2016 to develop a five-year strategy, outreach to partner organisations and launch its work.
Prior to joining Oak Foundation, Andrea worked as a campaign coordinator for the Israel section of Amnesty International and for political campaigns in Switzerland supporting the rights of handicapped people. She also served as Project Manager for major international development assignments, in cooperation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. In this role she worked closely with the UN, governmental organisations, NGOs and the private sector. She is fluent in German, English and French and holds an MA in War Studies from King’s College, London.
